VISION STATEMENT OF MY COWDENBEATH CIC

WHO ARE WE?

My Cowdenbeath CIC is a registered community interest company – meaning we are a business with charitable aims and cannot make profits for individual gain.

We are registered with Companies House since May 2022 as a ‘community interest company’, registration number SC731539.

Our Board of Directors is made up of local residents who meet regularly to drive forward the objectives of the organisation and progress our plans, based on community research and insights.

FUNDERS

As well as organising fundraising events ourselves, we are funded for various projects by organisations, trusts and sponsors throughout the year. We are incredibly grateful for their support to help us deliver our plans for Cowdenbeath!

Below is a list of the funders in the current financial year (2024-25):

  • £250 – Cowdenbeath Community Council (Microgrants)
  • £500 – 4 Winds SCIO (Workshops Cairn Project)
  • £2,121 – Fife Council Local Community Planning (Drink Safe Campaign)

CHARITY LOCK

As a Community interest Company, we are required to nominate a charitable organisation of our choosing to receive any assets should our organisation close for any reason.

The Trustees agreed to nominate a fantastic good cause helping so many families in the Cowdenbeath Area: HOME-START COWDENBEATH
