Cowdenbeath Stories

In 2024, Cowdenbeath Community Council released a series of short films about the town, created by Anim8 and funded by Fife Council. They said about the project:

“Cowdenbeath Community Council has been privileged to have been actively involved in a collaborative initiative, alongside various individuals and groups, over the past few years.

This endeavour has culminated in the creation of a captivating series of short films that beautifully capture the stories, places, and people that hold significant historical importance in Cowdenbeath.

Comprising a collection of 12 films, each offering a unique perspective, these cinematic creations delve into a diverse array of topics and showcase the individuals and locations that have contributed to Cowdenbeath’s rich and distinctive heritage over the years.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Fife Council and the talented duo, Andrew & Martin, from Anim8s (https://www.anim8s.com) in North Queensferry, whose vision and creativity have brought these films to life.

We also express our appreciation to all those who have contributed to this remarkable project.

Rather than overwhelming our audience with all the films at once, we have chosen to unveil them gradually in the lead-up to Christmas.

We invite you to immerse yourself in these cinematic treasures and hope that they resonate with you, offering a glimpse into the vibrant tapestry of Cowdenbeath’s past and present.

We hope you Enjoy!”
