We want to see every part of our town thrive – for us success isn’t just about a busy bustling High Street, but about great places to live whichever area you are in.
We want playgrounds and parks to be clean, safe and have equipment to enrich young lives. We want streets free of litter and dog mess, which are well-lit and make us feel safe when we go out.
Every neighbourhood counts and that’s why we’ll be championing Neighbourhood Improvement Plans – or NIPPY’s for short – in the development of a Place Plan for Cowdenbeath. We won’t just concentrate on our town centre – we want to hear your views about places that need a bit of TLC or where new facilities are needed in the town.
We also need to discuss how the town can grow for the future, with the demand for housing far outstripping supply – so where will new houses go, who will build and manage them and how will the services like schools, doctors, dentists and roads cope with any new housing.
