Sustainability

Dalbeath Marsh, Cowdenbeath

We’ve got some wonderful green space on our doorstep in Cowdenbeath, from the walks around Leuchatsbeath and Dalbeath Marsh, to established walking routes down The Line and across at The Moss.

We have the Dandelion trail and the gorgeous wooden sculptures around the town, not to mention the fantastic mural artwork which brightens up our High Street!

We also know how much we all want to live a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly life, but for many in our town they can struggle just to get by week-to-week.

The impact of industry on our town has also been a challenge for years, from the devastation of the mines closing to having Scotland’s third largest industrial emissions site less than a mile away at Mossmorran.

We’re keen to explore new ideas and fresh initiatives to help us all meet the needs of living sustainably in the future – whether it be community energy projects, better recycling options, or ideas to help save our precious parks and open spaces.

Get in touch today if you’ve got some ideas and check back here for updates on our work in this area.
