Ensuring our town centre is fit for the future is one of the main priorities of My Cowdenbeath!
We’ll work with community partners to ensure our High Street continues to improve and businesses and organisations have the opportunity to set-up and expand in our town. With one of the biggest range of independent shops in Scotland, Cowdenbeath High Street is used by thousands of local people every week – we want to see that continue!
Our town centre already boasts some amazing mural artwork by the talented local artist Kerry Wilson. Several local shops and buildings also have their shutters or exterior painted with mural and signwork which brightens up the town and makes a real feature of Cowdenbeath.
The ‘Love Cowdenbeath’ campaign and the ‘BE’ sign in the Green Square were also developed several years ago to help boost the image of the town and help businesses through difficult trading conditions of the financial crisis and the pandemic.
We’ll be announcing projects in and around our town centre in the coming months.
